I still dont know how I got here, so I have saved it in my favourites so I just click on that link to get straight to the forums!

It's me, Rie. Thank you for your email and I have to apologize for being very inactive!! I had some problems in my computer and also I had to apply for DLA and statement etc... and my daughter (16) was doing GCSE course work so I had to help.... I know it's excuse, but I always check your both sites and read almost everything you write. I really admire you!! My life would be so different if I didn't know about you. You gave me already so many things.
It's been only a month since my son (3) 's dx as asd and I didn't know anything about it. Without you and your site, what could I do?
I'll be more active here and please don't erase my name from your site.
I'm a bit shy person to write but I'll make some effort!!

It was making him too ill

So are you home teaching him at the moment or are you in limbo with schooling.
Im currently moving jacob from one nursery to another.
his current nursery has changed. My middle son went there originally and they were good. But now im sending jacob there and im not happy with it. He asks to stay home. instead of going there.
When i sent Reece there they knew nothing about Autism. i taught them loads and told them what was needed for him. they were great. But with Jacob they dont listen. They told me they did not believe he had it.
The supervisor in charge has now done more training and thinks she knows it all. When in fact she doesnt.
She thinks their are only 2 children with problems in the nursery but there is more than that.
So im moving him to another. They seem nice they know about autism but are prepared to listen to me.
So im hoping this will make him happier.
He is still not at our autism nursery yet .
waiting for a place.
Hopefully it wont be much longer.

Yes for the time being he is getting taught at home T.

The LEA are giving him 5 hours a week a tutor soon they dont give much do they.

5 hours definaltely does not seem alot. But at least he is safe. I would do exactly what you are doing. keeping him at home.
im having a few problems with school to with regards to Ethan. Since the fire alarm insident he is still not very settled. I have =a meeting about Ethan and reece next week. Statement reviews. So i will be making my opinons known.
Some of the things i need to discuss with his teacher, She should know. She has been told by myself and his teacher from his old mainstream school. They had a file made for them about him. I dont think anyone has actually read it.
His teacher to me is a bit useless and she is supposed to be deputy head.
Reeces teacher is wonderful. Ethan actually is supposed to be in the same class as reece because of his age. But as he is more verbal and more willing to work at his academics he is a 7 year old with kids of up to 12/13
sometimes i think they forget his age. It doesnt help that he is nearly 5ft tall.
Hopefully things will get sorted. The head teacher should be there and i get on great with him.
