hi everyone.im mum to patrick who has high functioning autism and we live in cheshire.he is 4 and starting school in september.we are waiting to see if he will get a statement of e/n.he is a lovely boy,has some speech altho it is delayed and we are currently struggling with toilet training.we have the common problem of lack of support as many people do not see his difficulties and wont admit he has autism.anyway thats me and look forward to getting to know you all.by the way.computers arent my strong point so will take me a while to figure out this website!!

Hi, I'm Alex my son David aged 6 is on the Autistic Spectrum as well, I'd say in the middle of the spectrum. He was diagnosed virtually the day I took him to see the specialist, he attends a special school for autistic children and he is getting on really well. He went to a special needs nursery as well. He is statemented so just keep on in there, I know it is very hard, I find I tend to find out more from other parents than the professionals, I don't know about you.
Laughing
cheers Alex x
