Well riley was born at 42 weeks by forceps it was a complicated delivery which has left him with erbs palsy in his right arm but possibly down his whole right side which im in the process of finding out he has had physio from day 1 he has problems with external rotation and he only has about 80-85% full extension of his elbow and sometimes his shouler blade wings badly he also has to wear special boots as in the past year or so started to tip-toe and walk inwards causing his knees to turn in and his pelvis rotate his right leg is worse than the left which is why i think its erbs down the whole side call it mothers instinct but i just know he sees his physio therapist every 8-12 weeks he also has an occupational therapist to help him with his co-ordination as sometimes it can be very poor he has problems with holding pens pencils etc he has special scissors at school and none slip mats to help him he also has problems using a fork so tends to eat with his hands bless his he also see a man caled richard in orthotics who fits him with his boots but is talking about maybe fitting him with full plaster casts to hold his feet in place for a week or so to try and get him to walk flat, it is a long road were going down it has been since birth but to riley hes just the same as everyone else

He is 4, we went for an appt with the pead last week and i told him about the thing riley does, he sits there and looks like hes just burped but he actually regurgitates and they said its called reumentation i think and its linked with behavioural problems so their sending him to see a speech and language therapist who deals with these things even tho hes a very good talker, their also quierying whether or not he has autism the physio want to put his feet and legs in serial casts to straighten his feet and stop him walking funny and on his tip-toes but untill they find out whether or not its autism they dont really want to do it as tip-toe walking is apperently something autistic children do!?
