| Will it be every Saturday? Its so lovely to find somewhere suitable and friendly where our children can spend time and we can relax knowing they are safe and cared for and are having fun! | |

| I spent an afternoon on the internet on Sunday looking for outdoor play equipment for Lewis, it was sooooo frustrating! I did eventually find a play park in Devon (bit far to pop over to!) which was designed for able bodied and wheelchair bound children to play alongside each other.
There is alot of stuff around at the moment about inclusion (Disability Discrimination Act) for disabled children, but most of it is about raising heights of tables and widening walkways, which is all great for children who are sat in a wheelchair but are still able to move about their upper bodies. What this place in Devon has is a seesaw for wheelchair users and a swing platform for wheelchair users. How awesome for Lew to be able to go on a swing or a seesaw in his chair!
Anyway, the relevance of this to your thread Debbie (as I am sure you are all wondering) is in response to Joanna's reply that its great you have found somewhere for Pauly to play safely ... I wish we could find somewhere for Lew where he could play safely, but play like any other boy his age which is, mentally, 4 years old.
Moan over, lol!
How are you enjoying taking him? Do you find it is benefitting you? Have you met other mums to chat to?

| That would frustrate me, I smile at everybody! It is frustrating for Lew (and children like him of which there arent many, if any, as far as we can see!) as he is mentally fine, just physically completely unable.
It makes things to do and places to visit difficult! But its a challenge we have to face!
